City teenager Sumeir Bhatia raises funds at exhibition for buying footwear for poor kids

Chandigarh :  Sumeir Bhatia, Founder of ‘The Helping Feet Initiative’, sought  support from the exhibitors of 'The Festive Lane Exhibition' held at Hotel Mount View here today for his unique project aimed at helping children who don't even have slippers to wear.  The 15-year-old City boy, Sumeir, a former student of Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, is currently studying in George Washington University High School in USA, spreading awareness at the exhibition about the dire need of providing footwear to needy children. Sumeir said," Even though under the PM Cares scheme, the government provided funds for children orphaned due to Covid-19, still a lot needs to be done. Not only the government, but citizens should also help those in need. My 'Helping Feet Initiative' aims at providing the underprivileged children with proper footwear. A large number of poor children still walk barefoot to their schools. This impacts them physically and psychologically.&qu

Gurbani is a dynamic entrepreneur who was born in Jammu , and raised in Punjab and United Kingdom . Presently she is based in London . Gurbani's venture 'Seedstart' is coming up with an innovative concept of enabling farmers to get a fair share of their produce, through 'Seedstart's' retail chain.
