Merchant Navy Officers observe World Maritime Day

  World Maritime Day celebration Chandigarh : A special function was held to mark World Maritime Day. A gala afternoon was organized at the DLF Valley Club House for the members and the families of the Merchant Navy Officers' Association (MNOA),  Chandigarh . World Maritime Day is observed on September 29 every year to show support for Merchant Shipping which uses efficient means for moving commodities throughout the globe in a secure and environment-friendly manner. Capt TS Bhatia, President, MNOA, Chandigarh said,"The theme this year is - New Technologies for Greener Shipping, reflecting the need to support a green transition of the Maritime sector into a sustainable future while leaving no one behind. Unique plantation drive 'Trees of Joy' continues at AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana

Ludhiana : Fully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs'), AIPL Housing & Urban Infrastructure Limited (AHUIL), a pioneer in real estate development, continues a unique plantation drive 'Trees of Joy', under which micro forest of 550 saplings of 35 Native Species of Punjab will be planted as per Miyawaki (Japanese method) at AHUIL's township AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana, on Sidhwan Canal Road. Under this initiative, the plantation of micro or mini-forest was started by holding a sapling plantation activity at AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana. This plantation is being carried out by AHUIL in collaboration with Eco-Sikh, an 80 G-approved charitable society that works to mitigate the threats of climate change and the deterioration of the natural environment. “We are committed to increasing the green cover in AIPL Dreamcity Ludhiana and other parts of  Ludhiana  as well. Multiple activities to mark YPS Patiala's 75th foundation year

  Patiala :  YPS, Patiala , an iconic legacy school and one of India 's most prestigious schools,  is all set to celebrate its 75th foundation year.   A host of activities have been planned to mark 75 years of the school's existence, culminating in the momentous 'Foundation Celebration' in February  2023. “A lot many activities will be conducted throughout the year as YPS Patiala enters into its 75th glorious year. A mountaineering expedition and inter-school online sessions on ‘Regional Ethnic Diversity’ among others will be held,” said Raja Malvinder Singh, Chairman of the School Board of Governors. Amritsar : Fully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Advance India Projects Limited (AIPL), a pioneer in real estate development, continues a unique plantation drive ‘Trees of Joy’, in Punjab, under which a micro forest of 550 saplings of 35 Native Species of Punjab is being planted as per Miyawaki (Japanese method) at Amritsar's AIPL Dream City NXT located on NH-1, Delhi-Amritsar Highway, on land owned by Vishnurupa Developers Private Limited. This plantation is being carried out by AIPL in collaboration with ECO-SIKH an 80G approved charitable society that works to mitigate the   threats of climate change and deterioration of the natural environment. The drive, "Trees of Joy" started with a plantation of 550 saplings held in presence of Mandeep Kaur Tangra, CEO, SmartQuartz, and Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Patron-President, All India Pingalwara Charitable Society ( Registered),  Amritsar .
