Merchant Navy Officers observe World Maritime Day

  World Maritime Day celebration Chandigarh : A special function was held to mark World Maritime Day. A gala afternoon was organized at the DLF Valley Club House for the members and the families of the Merchant Navy Officers' Association (MNOA),  Chandigarh . World Maritime Day is observed on September 29 every year to show support for Merchant Shipping which uses efficient means for moving commodities throughout the globe in a secure and environment-friendly manner. Unique plantation drive 'Trees of Joy' continues at AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana

Ludhiana : Fully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs'), AIPL Housing & Urban Infrastructure Limited (AHUIL), a pioneer in real estate development, continues a unique plantation drive 'Trees of Joy', under which micro forest of 550 saplings of 35 Native Species of Punjab will be planted as per Miyawaki (Japanese method) at AHUIL's township AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana, on Sidhwan Canal Road. Under this initiative, the plantation of micro or mini-forest was started by holding a sapling plantation activity at AIPL DreamCity Ludhiana. Multiple activities to mark YPS Patiala's 75th foundation year

  Patiala :  YPS, Patiala , an iconic legacy school and one of India 's most prestigious schools,  is all set to celebrate its 75th foundation year.   A host of activities have been planned to mark 75 years of the school's existence, culminating in the momentous 'Foundation Celebration' in February  2023. “A lot many activities will be conducted throughout the year as YPS Patiala enters into its 75th glorious year.   Chandigarh : To celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Thumpers CafĂ© - a well-known Bike Riders' Group of Tricity, organized an impressive India@75 Freedom Ride. Fervour and enthusiasm marked the event, which started at Sector 34 playground and concluded at Ropar Haveli. “It was a rare honor to flag off India@75 Freedom Ride. We have completed 75 years as an independent nation. It is a rare milestone,” said Manat Noor, a famous singer, who flagged off the Ride along with Brigadier Satinder Singh, Vineet Joshi, and Vishal Batra, brother of Kargil martyr Capt. Innovative Pink Bollworm Mating disruption product CREMIT PBW unveiled to counter the menace

Chandigarh: To present viable solutions to the problem of Pink Bollworm which prevails in Punjab and Haryana region and damages cotton crops on a large scale a two-day awareness seminar - 'Innovative strategies for Pink Bollworm management in cotton crops' was organised. To counter Pink Bollworm, a mating disruption product, CREMIT PBW was also unveiled for the first time in the region, at the programme attended by a battery of agricultural scientists, crop experts, and some cotton farmers as well.
